Cyclop – a special original heuristic method of crane scheduling for electroplating production lines has been made. This new method is a step ahead of the solutions offered in books and the results gained are unrivalled as far as efficiency is concerned. The schedules are very practical thanks to the high quality of results and no simplifications of reality. The software has been made to help the user to design the optimal production line. It also gives some tips in order to eliminate mistakes and obtain the best results. The scheduling algorithm is a hybrid method of selective search for limited areas and the original method of collision elimination as well as the selected permutations analysis. There has been made a scheduling problem notation for this NP-hard problem and it presents the problem as the one of mixed multidimensional optimization with limitations. A formal proof of algorithm convergence has been worked out and it can find at least one optimal local solution or it informs the user of the existence of possible solutions. « back |
